Visitor Info
There are visitor information centres in Aberfoyle, Doune and Callander. The locations and contact details are shown in the maps above, call in for leaflets, useful information and local recommendations.
ACcessibility
There is an increasing number of accessible friendly facilities in the Trossachs. At Loch Katrine there is a lift to the cafe and motorised scooters for hire. The steamship can be accessed by wheelchair.
Where to stay
There are many options for accommodation with hotels, guesthouses, camping and caravan parks. Self catering accommodation include eco pods, yurts and even a converted Sea King helicopter!
Events
There are many events in the Trossachs each year including cycling races in Aberfoyle, Callander Summerfest, Callander Jazz & Blues Festival, Easter Duck Race at Lodge, Aberfoyle and family themed weekends at Loch Katrine.
For Children
Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park, along with nearby Briarlands are great for children. Glen Finglas has an excellent interactive play trail, as does the Lodge Visitor Centre Aberfoyle.
Food & Drink
There is a distillery at Deanston, Callander is home to McQueen Gin, produced at their Trossachs Distillery. Famous chef Nick Nairn is long associated with the Trossachs and has a cook school at Port of Menteith.
