Loch Drunkie

The Route

Trossachs_trail_Webmap.jpg

Against this magnificent natural backdrop there are activities for every taste and level of experience. Family-friendly cycling routes sit alongside challenging gravel and mountain rides, while walks range from easy low-level riverside or woodland strolls to small hills with big views and challenging mountain tops and rock climbs. Canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and wild swimming are all popular on rivers and lochs and sailing features on Loch Venachar and Loch Ard.

Fishing is popular, from rainbow trout in the Lake of Menteith and world-class salmon fishing in the River Teith to brown trout, perch and pike in Loch Ard. Add pony and alpaca trekking, tank driving, putting, golf, bowls and outdoor sport at Callander’s community-run McLaren Leisure, where indoor swimming, soft play, climbing wall and gym equipment will also keep you and the family active even on wet days.

In Scotland walkers, cyclists and horse riders can all exercise access rights on paths and tracks. Please be considerate to other users.
